Yup, she did more self-promotion in her first month on the job than Bill Gates and Andy Grove combined have done in their entire lives. A former colleague tells the tale. Basically that things are changed, from the top, so frequently now that nobody has any idea what they're supposed to be doing, and even when they do they can't see the point, because by the time they get halfway there the job will be changed to reflect some sort of new directive from the top that takes nothing about the real world of the business into consideration. I know at least one person who swore to never retire until forced out, who is now saying that an early retirement package -- if offered -- would be taken. mg
