No one said that taxes were not paid, but they are not paid by the business independently of the distribution of profits to individual stakeholders. Thus, there is no double taxation. Hypothetically, what would otherwise have been distributed as profit to the proprietor or partners could be used for expansion or depreciation, incidentally, so it is not true that all profits flow- through. It is just that it would appear on the books as an expense, prior to distribution, since there is no separate category of profit prior to distribution.
