<The American resolve to stay the course seems strong right now but I doubt it will last unless some new terrorist act keeps us alert and motivated> it is up to the government to have this resolve and not wait for the public to get a new SHOCK treatment to keep up their resolve.It would be a sad commentary on our public if they say "o.k. that is enough,let's say everything is fine now and let's make believe it will never happen again." regards Iraq,whether it is next on the list,we will see,but the fact is Bush is hinting repeatedly that it is a major priority(and it could well be his father wants this badly as George senior has admitted letting Saddam off the hook was the greatest mistake of his presidency).Max p.s. here is the sad possible fact as stated by Dan Rather--he reported that as we were making our run to Baghdad Saddam was getting ready to board a plane to flee to either Sudan or Yemen--but Voila! a miracle--we QUIT!(and i jumped ten feet off the the ground in anger(when i heard the announcement of our troops being halted) and cursing at such a rankly stupid decision by Bush,sr.--you don't let a psychopath off the hook when you have him .
