thanks dj,
Also very big buffers - in a form of large dust bins ROTF...my laugh for the day....Flinstone Buffers LOL...

We were doing a job for a warehouse in Toronto replacing their hardware and software. Well we walked into a computer room with a huuuuuuuuge mini. Cabinets etc 10 x 5 feet. We replaced it with a 286 machine. They thought it was our toolbox :o)

But the TRS-80 was my fav. I actually used stuff from school. Had to define my own keyed files and routines etc. No 4gl and database then :o) A guy from a service bureau came in to sell us on their batched inventory system. He saw the TRS-80 in action and told my boss he couldn't compete (not even close) speed wise. We were were online and realtime. Great ego boost that.

regards
Kastel
