A CRT display is significantly more power-hungry than a PC. The best screen saver is the one called "blank screen"...) Jon... I was just catching up on this thread and saw where you wrote the above.. Y'know what? I've known this for quite awhile and that's why I use sleep mode on my system, and never have a screensaver running. But I never thought about the cumulative impact of millions of computers running in offices every night with screen savers... You could save a good 10% in overall US power consumption right there, one can imagine.. Might be worth forwarding to our President as a conservation measure.. Might even win you a prize... :0) Hawk
