James - ...But, reason and science have just as much to fear from the fundie right as from the left, IMO.... History clearly demonstrates that mass religions of all flavors are, in effect, and in addition to whatever else they may be, highly successful attempts to enslave the mind of man. Controlling slaves by coercion alone is both highly expensive and counterproductive. If a slave can not only be made to enslave himself, but to believe that he is not in fact a slave, the result is highly efficient economically for the masters. Regards, Don
