Politicians in every country try to boost their own. The EU doesn't have a monopoly on such behavior. Look at the U.S. and sugar.

Wrong. Some politicians in some EU countries favor some government-owned industries.

EU as such is very much against government-owned industries. EU has forced governments to sell power plants and other companies, and has been one of the most important forces for competition between companies in the EU area.

Where do you get these false informations from?
