I don't care to suffer fools, either. But we choose how to be in our own right. When you go after the idea, not the person, I get it even when I don't agree. The mirror reflects. When I see someone go after an idea, I see the other idea. When I see someone attack a person with ugly words, I see ugliness reflected back. And I see no progression towards an understanding of the idea. Does that make sense?

p.s. ~ there was that whole thing between you, Win, and Bill yesterday which I completely ignored. My ignoring is no reflection personally, just on the discussion. It distracted from real stuff. It was, imo, just jibes back and forth with no evolution. But, overall, I have learned more from this thread in the last few days than in its whole existence. I've read people I never read, or hadn't in ages. I've seen dialoque, and explanation, and thoughtful responses. And I've found agreement in the oddest places. Sometimes I think "wow, Yogi, that makes sense!". And "gee, Kholt, that is goofy, imo". We are all a spectrum of ideas. As long as we give each other room so long as we don't endanger each other, who cares? As long as we would stop to help each other when broken down on the side of the road? As long as we come to a middle that protects us from harm and keeps us free as possible, at once? And that is what the debate is about. We've always found the way. I think we can trust ourselves to do it again, even with fools among us.
