A War on Terror Meets a War on Drugs nytimes.com Shoot, my previous article link on this topic, posted in Message 16705493 , went unnoticed except for a PM, and now the opium connection is suddenly a big deal ? I've heard rumors there was a big CIA operation going on in Afghanistan in the '80s, and those guys are supposed to have had a lot of previous experience running drugs in the '60s too. Plus some other operation closer to home in the '80s.
