I hear voices. What does that make me? Insane? In line for "legal" drugs? I prefer beer. The good stuff, of course.

There is something we agree on.

I find people who laugh at "imaginary friends" in a clearly derogatory way to be offensive.

What do they know? Maybe they just don't know. If they are truly agonostic, they accept they just don't know, so they would not be derogatory. That seems simple.

But then I'm simple.

Even if I've read a whole lot more than you think. :)

I, and most theists, do not assume much of anything about who will go to hell, at this point in history. I do not have an Imaginary Friend in the sense of hearing voices, or imagining intimate "leading", but in the sense used earlier

That is nice. As long as you are not pontificating against Rationalists, that is fine. I am sure you can appreciate the pomposity that sometimes informs the talk of "Believers"--especially when they have a disproportionate amount of money, land, and power in society.

the fears of the secular seem to me to be somewhat exaggerated.

I disagree. There is often a huge "imaginary" aspect to Fear. Just because "seculars" are not "believers" is no reason to doubt their capacity to be mistaken; nor to be apprehensive of the unknown--when it is being confidently structured by some other as "Truth".

Again, the recent incident of Sept 11 has terrorized secular people and created an opposition and a fear of people whose imagination is only limited by their actual power. We realize that if they had power to security their imaginary beliefs...the world would lose freedom, individuality, and moral progress.

I trust that if the "wrong" imaginary beliefs" (such as exemplified on Sept. 11) should ever have control over our world...that you will fight side by side with me to overthrow them to the fighters for freedoms, morals, and the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.

Insofar as you have been asisted by an "imaginary friend" (as you say), I hope you may be counted on to oppose, ridicule, and overthrow "imaginary friends" who attempt to guide bastards into murdering thousands of innocent and helpless people by using planes to incinerate them--such actions (hopefully) being related to their "imaginary friend" and not to yours.

In spite of some cross words we have had...I hope I can count on you to dissassociate the idea of "imaginary friend" from "GOOD" and too be willing to stand side by side with me against some of these friggin bastards.
