Constantine, the problem is that you are taking it for granted that Intel will *need* to respond to AMD's 64-bit instruction set in the desktop market. Why do you make this assumption, other than what Paul is suggesting, which is the AMDroid fantasy that every AMD initiative will require an immediate Intel response.
