Elmer, so you are saying than when the Intel Big boys sit around in their board room they don't make plans to make life more difficult for AMD or even eliminate them as a competitor?

I'm sure the notion of destroying AMD never comes up but beating the competition surely does in any board room. Here's the difference, imho: It is not the primary factor in Intel's decisions, only a secondary or tertiary consideration. Jerry is obsessed with Intel. Any harm to Intel has much higher precedence than increasing shareholder value. You as a shareholder are not on Jerry's radar screen.

Constantine, you're jumping from one conclusion to another.

Contrary to how the AMDroid myth goes, SSE was not a mere reaction to 3DNow. It was in development long before anyone knew about AMD's 3DNow extensions.
