I presume these slave clones would be even more mentally challenged than most of our own naturally produced low intelligence or undereducated human specimens which is a rather frightening thought.... I vote for no new clowns -- I mean clones hanging around! <g>

I don't think
we need to worry about the above, though, as long as we naturally produce so
many people of low intelligence and/or poor education.

The problem is that it's difficult to persuade contemporary society to allow naturally born persons to be enslaved. We have sort of gotten over that phase of social development in most of the world. The Sudan, and other areas, of course, haven't quite gotten it yet. But in the "civilized" world (i.e. the world that has atom bombs) we don't have slavery. We just have minimum wage jobs, or for the higher classes au pairs.

But with clones, we might be able to overcome the societal squeamishness about slavery. There is a real attraction in the thought of having a cloned slave, one of course bred (since with clones we can choose the most satisfactorily subservient and obedient) to be happy in slavery, to do the cooking and cleaning and household repairs and unplug the toilets and all that, and let me concentrate on posting on SI and watching Monday Night Football undisturbed.

So maybe we need cloned slaves despite the prevelance of naturally produced "people of low intelligence and/or poor education."
