NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Riverstone Networks said it has signed a "multimillion-dollar" deal to supply Cox Communications with hundreds of routers to boost the cable company's ability to offer high-speed service in metropolitan areas.

Cox, the fifth largest U.S. cable operator, plans to install the routers over the next few months in all 28 of its cable systems, which serve 6.2 million customers.
