The web. Cars. Rockets. Computers. Antrax medicine... :-) CDs, MP3 files. USA seems to need these kinds of European inventions, even though you might call it 18th century inventions. I think Ellehammer would have invented planes differently if he had a computer.

Frankly, I cannot remember just one product that has been invented in the U.S., and I just asked my wife - she cannot think of any, neither. But I'm sure you will tell examples in the next post. And I wouldn't know any product imported from the U.S. that I cannot live without. Except Coca Cola, maybe :-)

If you know so much about Europe... did you know that we have signs in Copenhagen saying "please park babies sleeping in their baby carriage outside the restaurant". If you do that in New York, you get arrested. The difference? Having a civilized society that doesn't steel babies.

I wouldn't say such things to other Americans, since I believe this is unfair, and Americans are usually nice people. But it follows your way of argumenting very well.

Lars.

Personally, I'd have trouble surviving for very long without Stilton cheese. <g>

re I know more about Europe than you think. The more I know the more it smells. This is 21st century NOT 18th century, World doesn't revolve Europe anymore.

right on the money. Could not agree more with this. No kidding, and don't be fooled by my profile. I am deadly serious in agreeing with your statement. In fact, i kind of see a common denominator across europe, the M$FT plaintiffs, or the AMDroids... and that is wet dreaming.
