The "something to do with" the danger to the mother has nothing to do with guilt. If I fall from a hight and land on you killing us both, I have a lot to do with your death, but I have no guilt if I didn't jump

I spoke only of the (lack of) guilt to the fetus. It was my post, and my sentence. You wish to expand the thought so that it appears that the fetus has "something" to do with the danger to the mother. I asked you to explain yourself, and you have here said that it "doesn't" have to do with jumping on the mother. Sigh...well, maybe something else then--ho hum...

But it is an example of taking action to defend yourself that causes someone else's death.

This is not what you declared, and frankly...I have no clue what that sentence means.

"Also I never said that the mother or the doctor would have to prove anything 100%. It is probably impossible to prove anything completely 100%."

That has nothing whatsoever to do with the substance or the context of my response to you.

There have been no conversations with the fetus?

So (FINALLY) we get an answer to my question as to why 99+% of people support killing the fetus when the life of the mother is at risk, rather than killing the mother--or tossing a coin, or something else. People have not spoken to the fetus.

I am sorry, Tim. I cannot imagine a more pitiful, more shallow, more unprincipled "rationale" than that. For Christ'sake, how old are kids before you can have a conversation with them?? I am absolutely disgusted with the facts you have brought to the thread.

Thank you, Tim, for bringing the facts that 99+% of people support killing the fetus if the mother's life is in danger, and that one of the main reasons is that they haven't talked to the fetus. What kind of a bloody mindless world do we live in any way, Tim??

I surely don't know where you got your facts, but you would have no reason to make stuff up, or to repeatedly use an exact figure (99+%) unless it were indeed a fact. You are undoubtedly as distressed by this as I am. How could almot 100 % of people agree to kill a fetus to save the mother...just because they might not have talked to the fetus? Christ. One wonders how many of the people in your factual survey talked to the mother? Did any of them?

What a shallow reason for taking a life. Thank you, Tim for bringing those distasteful facts to our attention...
