Problem is, nobody holds them accountable ...

IMHO we should blame the SEC.

They should require that all major players in the market post, on a web site controlled by SEC, their upgrades/downgrades along with at least a short analysis of why. That would give the public a paper trail that we could use to hold them accountable. Right now it is just a wild west unregulated shoot-out of sound bites by analysts whose companies have investments in the stocks they are talking up or down - usually with no detailed explanation.

They all said the bottom was in, in Jan., then in April/May, some even as far back as Nov. last year, and of course, they're saying it again, you want to see some links to who and when they said it, you will laugh your ___ off, ha ha ha, just let me know, I'll dig them up.
