I'm not taking Karen to task. I merely reminded her that the term she uses is offensive to many people. She asked what she should do about it. I responded thusly: "I would have you understand when you are making a sacrilegious or otherwise offensive statement, one that offends the sensitivities of many people. If you already understand it, then I have no recommendation at all." Look, I'm the last guy here to preach PC-speak, or to talk about proper religion. (You might have missed it, but in a fit of hyperbole a couple months ago, I even suggested nuking Mecca.) So if I think "imaginary friend" crosses the line, it probably does.
