Tom,

Deeper scientific research has revealed that "grades 5 and 6" are only achievable by the employment of a "bionic prosthesis." So you, and perhaps even more so your lovely wife, can rest assured that you have the finest in "naturally occurring" ...um... grades.

Microsemi moment: Microsemi (MSCC:Nasdaq) appears to be up to its old tricks. An item here last month noted that Microsemi was touting an "alliance" with Cree (CREE:Nasdaq) to help produce LEDs. At the time, Cree's CFO said there was no "formal alliance" with Microsemi; instead, she said, Microsemi was merely a customer.

Try telling that to Microsemi, which on Monday issued a press release touting its introduction of a blue LED. As part of that announcement Microsemi, once again, mentioned its "alliance" with Cree. And Cree's CFO, once again, told me: "Cree has established no formal alliance with MSCC on LEDs to my knowledge. They have indicated an interest in our product and have ordered sample quantities of our LEDs." Microsemi, it should be noted, has still not responded to questions raised here last week -- especially questions about how the company accounts for its inventory. Maybe the company will deal with those issues on its earnings conference call Wednesday.

Tom...Have you done anything with MSCC yet? Where would you be a buyer of TASR again? Great call on FNSR.

What is your idea of MSCC earnings then?
