With any online broker, get the exact time of the order then the time/sales tape and challenge the execution if it was a market order. I had a 1/2 point slip fixed by ETrade when I challenged it.

I only use Datek as an occasional backup but never had a problem with slow executions. Regardless, the broker should fill you at the market price within 30 seconds of your order.

Whats wrong with Datek?

I use them..never had any problems and great margin rates
