ALAMEDA, Calif., Dec 3, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Wind River Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:WIND), a leading provider of software and services for connected smart devices, today announced that it has been named the leading embedded software development tools vendor by Gartner Dataquest in the research firm's recent worldwide market analysis.
In its '2000 Worldwide Embedded Software Tools Marker Share' report, Gartner Dataquest estimated the total market size for embedded software was $866 million in 2000, up 37% from $623 million in 1999.
