STOCKWATCH Dell's 'outperform', EMC's 'neutral' ratings reiterated by analyst SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) - Dell Computer Corp's 'outperform' and EMC Corp's 'neutral' ratings were reiterated by Morgan Stanley analyst Gillian Munson. Both Dell and EMC have been on a run recently, with momentum-investing driving the stocks, said Munson. In the short term, Dell stock may be ahead of itself but in the long term it should perform well, Munson added. Munson continues to be cautious on EMC as the shift to its new business model must be perfectly executed in order to justify the company's valuation. At 1.24 pm in New York, Dell was 0.04 usd higher at 26.52, EDS was down 1.38 usd at 70.50, while the Nasdaq composite was down 15.98 points at 1,919.99.

John, Re:...still daytrading Dell and others on the long side, no shorts. I do think the NAS is due for a breather/pullback though, so I'm a bit more careful this week. So, do you think this is a fools rally? You buying into it for daytrading purposes or still waiting for a realistic pullback? I'm in agreement with you regarding the thought that a pullback will occur and with such thinking haven't been selling any puts, but this week it seems like all the put contracts have been doing is losing value! Dell keeps going up! The long part of my account is very happy! Good weekend, Kaka
