Remember the BX? Technically, it only supported 100MHz operation, but many ran 133MHz based Pentium III processors by overclocking it. I believe that the i850, and possibly the i845, will function in the same way. For those uninterested in overclocking, changing the bus specification obviously requires another spin of the chipset.
