I would guess you could just separate the crew's oxygen ro their mask's from the general and it would then be quite simple. How about laughing gas so everyone could be hysterical until taken into custody, or helium so everyone talks weird:)

I know its a little out there but....

It would probably work...but in all seriousness I don't think the flying public would take to it very well.

I think that by simply securing the cockpit door to keep the pilots in control of the plane is all the only extra measure that is needed. Maybe sky marshals, too.

I think that would take too long. Plenty of time to blow up the plane before you lose consciousness.
