<< selling like crazy... do you have numbers? >>

Only the following information:

Retailers sold out of their initial shipments immediately.

Large retailers such as Toys R Us were not able to get another shipment for several weeks and were telling callers that ALL of that next shipment was already reserved and unavailable.

Online retailers were showing long delivery estimates and still are.

MSFT stated that they had sold all of the initial shipments and were increasing their production from the anticipated 100,000 to 120,000 per week.

I did an experiment on the Motley fool board for MSFT which has a huge following. I asked people to post if they could find an Xbox available at any store. It was 2 weeks before someone actually was able to find one that someone was able to confirm was there for longer than that one phone call. There are lots of anti-MSFT guys on that board as well, and trust me, they would have posted stores with Xbox available if they could have found one.

While xmas shopping I stopped in stores that might have Xbox and for two straight weeks they all said, good luck, none available and when they get them in you better be on their doorstep waiting because 15 minutes later they'll be gone.

This weekend, I did find one small shop that had a handful of Xbox that they had just received and they said that was the first day that they didn't sell all they received within a few minutes.

MSFT now says they will have more than 1.3 million in homes by the end of the year.

What more do you need?
