JR, that's a SERIOUSLY lagging indicator... and should be viewed in context no doubt those figures are to Nov 15th.

I've drawn a chart to highlight the area in question, 1/2 the time during that time period was spent breaking over the 50 SDMA... and i'd be willing to bet as it was taken out, so were ALOT of short positions initiated around it...

i wouldn't read too much into that, except for the fact that the short covering may have been one of the reason's why this market has ground higher on a higher p/c ratio and vix... bearish positions just kept getting pushed further and further out

relative strength has been declining and converging with price in the shorter time frames through much of the later advances...a bearish take i think
