Hehe... Denmark doesn't use Shuko plugs... Schuko is German. But if you laptop is equipped with a Euro-plug (small plug with two pins), it will work in all EU countries, maybe except UK.

The TV problem is not much bigger than the streaming problem on PCs. Most TVs today know PAL and NTSC, and most is transmitted with PAL or NTSC. On a PC, RealVideo does it all, that's true, but not part of the monopoly. Windows streaming stuff varies a lot, and the software included in the still popular Windows 95 doesn't do much streaming. In other words, you have to download software to do streaming on most computers. And then there is the internet connection problem. NAT prevents UDP in most cases, so some streaming types don't work with all internet connections. Many streaming websites don't work with the recommended MSIE settings from Microsoft (security=high), so many users have the choice of fighting virus or viewing streams.

Right now, I get about 10 virus'es a day in my personal inbox. All from Windows owners. Sometimes the same persons sends me virus again and again. I really don't care since I use Linux, but it surely must take the senders a lot of time fighting that. It's much easier to do streaming on Linux than on Windows - your arguments don't support the monopoly - it only supports digital technology as such.
