Not all resentment is envy.

Curious. It has dawned on me that here in the Microsoft thread one sees the same "Might makes right" argument used to defend both Microsoft's software monopoly and American military imperialism. By contrast, this argument would be out of place in an Apple, Sun, or Linux discussion.

Just an observation. I'm not drawing any conclusions.

I do understand that people in dictatorial regimes supported by USA think that USA is part of what suppresses them. But I also understand why USA sometimes supports these regimes. Joseph Stalin was an ally of the USA, UK and liberated countries during the second World War, and he surely wasn't one of the good guys. And there is a reason why USA debate human rights in Saudi-Arabia.
