While our cotton and tobacco farms were still being worked by slave labor, most Europeans looked on in shame. I encourage you to ask around at any Native American reservation about just how innocent we are of colonization, of systematic genocide, and of imposing our culture on others. When you ask, try to act really belligerent and self-righteous. You are correct though, that many of the horrible Christian atrocities that happened before the U.S. was founded happened outside the U.S. No big surprise there, but not a very meaningful observation. Seriously Mike, you're making a fool of yourself. Have you not noticed that nobody has agreed with you yet, even here in the MSFT vipers' pit? Dave < Dave, let me refresh your civic lesson: 1. Most if not all slavery trading from Africa to America happened prior to 1776. At that time, America was a Britain's colony and King George's subject. During the revolution, The northern States except Virginia wanted end slavery but in order to enlist the southern States against England, the provision ending slavery was dropped. However, importing of new slavery from Africa was virtually end. Hardly can blame America for King George criminal action. 2. Most if not all land acquired from Indians via treaties and purchases (ie State of Ohio for a few gold watches is a bargain, but Lousiana and Alaska purchases from France and Russia are even better deals. However, using gunships and cannons to slaught Africans and enslave them for hundreds of years is different story. I am with facts so I can not be a fool:-) Mike
