Is a citizen mailing such a letter a traitor or not?

"regarding daschle. i haven't looked at his voting record lately, but i'm sure he is probably still a communist traitor" In a free country, scum like you can say what you like. Fortunately, Americans have never stooped so low as to give credence to scum like you. I don't know what prompts a person to sink to your depths -- I am only thankful that it is so rare in America. The people with whom you would like to be associated would almost certainly be disgusted by your views on our elected officials as "traitors". Most people reject the views of those people to whom you so ardently try to cling for moral and intellectual support, but it is highly unlikely that your views would be acceptable to any group -- except perhaps for a handful of skinheads, nazis or similar fringe groups. Take a look in the mirror. You should be ashamed of yourself for calling people "traitors" -- and even more so in a time of war when these very people have come under personal attack and are risking their lives in public service just as our men and women in military service are doing.
