The 7650 is going to be coming out at around $500.

$500 is an awful lot of money for a cell phone, even a fancy-schmancy one. And I don't think I'm way out of the mainstream when I say that that's way more than I'd pay for a cell phone. $200 is pretty steep as it is.

We'd expect early-model cell phones to sell for a lot. But if they are to become mass market goods, they're going to have to decline in price a lot. It's a simple matter of supply and demand.

Think of it this way. When CD players first came out, they cost maybe $1000. And one could have predicted that one day 100 million of them would be sold per year. That does not mean, however, that we would eventually see $100 billion in annual revenues.
