Slacker,

<< The Sugar Bowl would be sweet....I can imagine worse places than New Orleans to spend my New Year's Eve <g>. >>

Been there ... done that ... two memorable times ... with two GREAT Pittsburgh Panthers clubs.

National championship in 1977 with Johnny Majors coaching, Matt Cavanaugh tossing, and Heismann trophy winner Tony Dorsett running over Vince Dooley's Georgia Bulldogs.

Second time around in 1982 should have been another national championship but Bowden's Seminoles kicked us bad on a cold night in November at Three Rivers making us 10-1. We made the Sugar Bowl trip again anyway. With Jackie Sherrill coaching, and Danny Marino throwing, we beat Georgia again (with Herschel Walker), and finished #4.

<< The Sugar Bowl would be sweet >>

If ya get to go. GO!
