I think it's a retest with a higher low. There sure are predictions all over SI for a break of the Sept lows in 2002 though...but it's hard to believe we would retest a "shock" bottom like we had.

My thinking is 1600s worst case, - a 50% retrace of the move. But I suspect more like mid 1700s before it reverses up again is probably more reasonable. There is gap support at 1760, and support on the downtrend line right about at the same spot.

From where we were yesterday, a move down to 1800 would be quite a correction, so maybe that's as far as it goes. Especially since the 50 ema is right at 1800 now.
I think we will all be able to see it clearly if it outs in a higher low, the change of trend will be obvious.
