Nawww... How do ya figure? I thought Madison was going to carry 6MB Cache. Maybe cache densities have gone way up, but from that photo, I don't see that much cache on these die. Plus, I thought that Madison was slated for early 2003. You think they would have silicon for that right now??

My guess is that chip is a test chip with an amount of random logic and a copious amount of SRAM. Madison probably hasn't taped out yet if it is to be introduced in 2003, and you are correct that the die is too big for Northwood.
