OT..SS Free Month

Oh no.. more liberal BS... :)

Seriously, I always thought the first "x" dollars of earning should be exempt from fica even if we had to raise the max or the rate or treat whats paid as a low income tax credit.. It is grossly unfair to take this from folks who are earing wages below the poverty line as a minimum.

Then we need to eliminate Social Security and call it what it should be called "General Welfare" and stop the chirade(sp?)

If it is a retirement system that you pay into for later repayment, then those that benefit from it should pay for it... At the top, people are forced to pay taxes on their SS checks .

I am interested how they will handle a free month of SS for high earners or those who are self employed and pay it quarterly? lower the max by 1/12th is the ONLY FAIR method... otherwise high earners might get a free January but just pay it back later on in the year when they normally max out their SS.

Oh well.. enough off topic stuff..
