no longer a collection of cells You missed a long discussion on this a few months ago, but I will summarize: An infant attains the hallmark of humanity when it becomes self-aware. This event happens at different times for different infants but generally one to two years after birth. I recommended as a legal matter, that a infant attain human rights at the time of birth because as a practical matter it is a much more recognizable event than pretty much any other event from conception to self-awareness.
