Okay UF, I'm glad to draw this exchange to a close. I know it must have been embarrassing for you to have painted yourself into such a bumblingly foolish corner. And of course it's way way off topic. But I'll put my closing statement in.

For those of us who do not have our heads in the sand, and can discuss world issues without pointing the currently fashionable Terrorism finger at one another, there is no question whatsoever that terrorism is a military tactic. Unfortunately for us, the innocent, it is an uncomfortable fact that the Unabomber, the IRA, the anti-abortion Army of God (the ones who have been sending anthrax threats to medical clinics for years), and yes the CIA-trained bin Laden (who was trained in guerrilla warfare for his Afghan Rebels' fight against Russia), have all chosen that military tactic because they all know they would have zero chance in a fair fight against their enemy.

The statement "terrorism is a military tactic" is in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY a justification or legitimization of terrorism, any more than the statement "anthrax is a bioweapon" justifies or legitimizes the Army of God's hundreds of mailings of white powder to women's clinics AFTER September 11. If I were to say that genocide is a military tactic that is sometimes used against weak peoples by powerful ones, would that be justification or legitimization of our country's treatment of its indigenous people? Of course not, it would merely be recognition of the obvious, an approach that I highly recommend.

Dave

I must agree fully with Uncle Frank, even if the other Dave seems to think it's a "bumbling" opinion. It's not.

<< I am intolerant when it comes to terrorism and ridiculous attempts by apologists to legitimize it as a "military tactic". >>

This is crystal clear. Look at the facts as they exist now. Look at our recent history. Why look back at slavery? We had a civil war, the North won and slavery was abolished. It's part of our past and there is no possible reason to use it as an excuse for terrorist attacks on the USA today.

If you use this reasoning you are either a fool or you hate America and what it stands for.

IMO,
Dave
