There have been numerous debates over the justification of dropping the bombs on Japanese civilians in WWII, but one of the reasons it has been relatively muted in my opinion is because the U.S. helped Japan rebuild and become a great economic superpower after the surrender....
Now we have to worry about the brainwashed terrorists using some form of nuclear weapon on us (only a matter of time IMO), and then what our response will be. As in chess, one must always look forward or be defeated.... As far back as 1991, we would discuss the inevitable bombing of major U.S. cities by terrorists or rogue nations over on the old Prodigy boards. After the first WTC bombing, you think we would have woken up and smelled the coffee, but unfortunately we dropped the ball and went back to sleep.... Hopefully we have learned for good this time, but some are already trying to go back to their old lazy and unobservant habits.
