Excellent points, Michael.

The curious thing is that the Japanese themselves have not criticized the A-bombs nearly as much as Americans who look for "racism" in every nook and cranny. The transformation of Japan from warmongers to a peace-loving people was stunningly accomplished, in short time. Sometimes a whole country can be brainwashed into madness, and nothing short of a huge jolt will bring them back to sanity.

I do not have a problem with winning the war against Japan. just the methods used at the end.... Do you have a problem with that? Unlike you, I also love the Japanese people, but would not incinerate and torture their kids and women. The involvement of the Soviets in the mix does not justify the way we tortured them in my opinion.
