Wow...they're thinking on scrapping "who wants to be a millionaire"...I guess money is out-of-vogue ng

I know why they are cancelling the show - what's a million $ these days? Lets pretend CSCO had $3 billion in profits per year and paid all of it out to shareholders. At today's price $1 million would get you a 1 / 146,000 stake in the mighty CSCO. Your share of that paid out dividend would thus be around $20,500, or roughly 2%. So that's why nobody is interested in a $million anymore. Buy some gold -ng-

I made up the outlandish notion of CSCO making $3 billion in profit by roughly multiplying the last quarter they seemd to record a sizable profit by 4. Of course they will not likely approach these profits again and will definitely not be paying them all out in dividends. so in the best of best case scenarios, using ridiculously wildly bullish assumptions, CSCO is getting you 2% on your highly at risk capital . I think I did the math right but maybe the percocet is making me extra stupid today. Does this make sense to anyone? when one seemingly worthless thing is so freely exchanged for another, it seems to point to the worthlessness of both
