The President is only 1/3 of the executive branch of this country I recall a very nice piece by Madison where he described the various powers of the government. He claimed that the Executive was the least powerfull branch of government with Congress having the greater power. The greatest power of government though was with the people. IMO, he described the people almost as a fourth [stealth] branch of government. One where there was the greatest potential of abuse of power, with the majority abusing the minority. I think the people have forgotten what their role in government was supposed to be. We've just tossed it off. jttmab
