Well... Wizard. I told ya that my husband's company was seeing new biz from companies that refused to spend. What I didn't say... they had refused to spend for a very very very long time. Years!!!! And at this horrid time, they suddenly are deciding it's time to start spending on getting their biz net savvy. Not only that, this little biz consulting company that never got the chance to ipo has turned a profit as of Sept. 30th! That's without new biz. And when I hear they are hiring, you can bet that b2b is going to be zipping cuz they gotta use all that software in their contracts. Those biz consultants were canaries in the mine. One bad apple could be explained away, but when every canary was dying, it was time to figure something was wrong and it weren't the bird's fault.

Yeah yeah.... unemployment. I thought we'd never get my sweetie a job after he was laid off in Oct. 1998. And low and behold, in January there were competing offers. True, it was a boom time, but I bet this rebound is better than what the nay sayers are predicting.

Anyway, unemployment is a lagging indicator. Hire at the top, fire at the bottom. Might be that some people have to change the industry they're in to get another job.

Now it's just a matter of what kind of valuation do these stocks deserve. And who knows? Guess we won't really know till Jan. earnings and companies have a better idea of how new biz is looking.
