They are all full of it! How many now screaming voted recently to "ease" restrictions so companies could buy back shares to "support" America? How many have voted or let rules slide to uphold the mighty Market -- the god of America -- no matter what the future costs? These guys/gals all play the game. "Are you for policy A? Then I've got money for you from the trial lawyers. If you are against it, I've got money for you from the NRA. These people's credibility is worth nothing until they give up the millions of tax-payer dollars in benefits and the perks from all the corporations. Why don't they all donate ALL these perks to worthwhile charities that are truly working on the problems? I'll tell you why. Because it is all about #1. Well, #1 is about to get what he/she deserve -- a bunch of #2 hitting the fan.

I remain,

SOROS

Dingbat's still trying to get his rollback bill for the telecom act passed next month. And here I am, thanks to Verizon's perogative not to compete with their own T-1 and T-3 business, with no DSL alternative to cable net access. If the local bells are non-competitive now, it won't help users to give it all to them on a platter.

About 70% of domestic banks reported weaker demand for loans from large and medium-size commercial and industrial enterprises, up considerably from about 50% in the August survey.

Demand for loans from small borrowers also is falling, the survey said.
