ok Tom, what's your take on this market?

i'm net short but need some convincing that i'm wrong -g

i think the bulls are lathering up real fine for a good spanking in December but the bullcrap just won't stop (Fed injections, CSFB's infantile market ramblings & pump & dump, etc.)

i don't think there's an economic rebound until 2nd-half
of next year at the earliest (and for tech, probably longer)

i guess people are buying now (at extremely extended prices)and expecting stocks to go up until the recovery finally kicks in, man i hope they're also buying some pepto for the journey

i have a suspicion there are few more Enron's and Argentina's out there that will greet the market
in a rather rude way over the next month, lets see

cheers

Tom:

Thanks. I had to give a CLE lecture to a bunch of fellow lawyers last night. They're a tough crowd to play.

I couldn't help but notice a later post that basically posed the question: What's really going on here? P/E's in the ozone layer, Enron's etc. and yet the mkt keeps headed through the clouds.

I so short I'm looking up at the tops of the curbs and had to sell some CORV to cover a margin call in one account. Wish I'd have sold it a day earlier but still made some walkin' around money. I just can't see it staying up for ever. What's your call on things?

Scott

PS:
A non PC lawyer joke:
They are now using lawyers instead of white mice for AIDS research. Seems as though there are more of them, you don't get as attached to them and there are some things you just can't teach white mice to do to each other.
