Nobody in the tribe can own anything or it's forfeited to help 'the crowd'. That's a problem for Samoans and others in NZ who still have the strong family and tribal links. Their life is not their own. People here used to run communes and NONE of them were successful [in any reasonable way]. A few people work like mad while others sit around stoned saying "Far out man!" So those doing the work soon get sick of it. Same with student flats. It's not long before those who don't like to live in a pigsty start going independent. Basically, socialism stinks. Heck, even in marriages, there have been known to be financial problems, division of labour problems, not to mention child management and other disputes. Even an individual will kick themselves for stupid decisions and get into arguments with themselves, then lose the argument. Mqurice
