Stocks - Korean Market Rises on Wall Street Rally - Nov 30, 2001
SEOUL, Nov 30 Asia Pulse - Shares made a solid rebound early Friday buoyed by the overnight rally on Wall Street, and the upgrading of Korea's rating outlook by Moody's Investors Service.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index [KOSPI], stood at 643.93, as of 9:51 a.m., up 15.07 points from Thursday's close of 628.86.

The over-the-counter KOSDAQ market also gained ground, adding 1.41 points to 70.40 at 9:51 a.m.

Stock analysts said that the strong showing of technology shares in the U.S. is helping the local market, as well as moves by investors to buy up stocks that have suffered losses in the past few days.

In addition, figures that the country's industrial output performed better than expected contributed the market's rise.
