Some heartbreaking news. Dear David, I was so fortunate to know you, your memory will always be cherished. Take care sweetheart. HW zwire.com David Petty II David H. Petty II went to be with his heavenly Father Nov. 10, 2002. He was at the home of his parents, David and Virginia Petty, with his sisters, Ruth R. Petty of Boston, Mass., and Karen P. Sexton of Greensboro. He had a long courageous battle with squamous cell cancer of the sinus cavity and the face. He attended Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also served with the U.S. Marines. He was CFO and secretary/treasurer of Charles D. Roberts Co., where he was in business with his father. He also served as treasurer with Outreach Inc. and was a former vice president with the Greater Greensboro Bowling Association. A private funeral will be held with the family. There will be a celebration of life at a later date; to be announced.
