JDN, were you surprised at the total collapse of the tallies. My only question was could this 24 day wonder NA army be turned into a coordinated force that could be used in line with an American OOB. The time it took to get the control structure in place was a few weeks. Remember the stories about fighting on horseback. These folk fight differently. These guys fight like 6 year olds playing rec league soccer. Americans fight like a Profession Soccer team. For a comparison. The point is a team and teamwork that is coordinated vs a somewhat mob.

Look what we did in a few weeks with rec league players.
We had hundreds on the ground and thank God no American soldiers dead.

As to the caves.
The technology exists to attack at night in the cold and overhead every living hot body will be glowing in dark. So is the rats scurry out the back door. where do they go. Think of crooks we see carried live on TV with the news helo overhead. Now forget the helo and just remember we have eyes and eyes and eyes everywhere. This eys see the smallest amount of energy in every band of frequency.

A few weeks back I attended a Defense Summit in Washington DC presented by SGI and it was all about the new sensor and command and control technology. binnie and his boys are on borrowed time.

I'd take a bet binnie won't see the new year. Not that that really means anything.

I would agree to the extent that I think it will be very difficult. But not impossible. The price we will have to pay may, unfortunately, prove very high. But it must be paid, period. There are no other options.

But getting Usama bin Cavedude is not by any means the end of the story. There are Al Qaida cells in 60 countries, more or less operating independently. They are likely going forward with plans set in motion years ago. And once these are squashed, then there are the myriad non-Al Qiada groups to contend with.

I expect a long haul ahead.
