Minister Elon Rejects the US’ Double Standard (IsraelNationalNews.com) Speaking to Israel Radio on Friday morning, Minister of Tourism (National Union) Rabbi Binyamin Elon spoke of his meeting with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon shortly before the prime minister left for the United States on Thursday night. Elon expressed his belief that the prime minister must tell the White House that Israel is unwilling to accept the US’ “double standard,” explaining that America continues with its offensive in Afghanistan while Israel is expected to stand idle while its citizens are being killed and wounded in daily terror attacks. Elon spoke of the cabinet statement issued following the Oct. 17th assassination of Minister Rechavam Ze’evi by PFLP terrorists. Mr. Sharon, supported by the cabinet, released a statement that if the PA fails to begin apprehending terrorists, stop attacks, and dismantle the terrorist infrastructure, Israel would declare the PA an entity supporting terrorism and take the necessary actions.
