Albert- Yeah, well Niles' research is poorly written. My comments:

major market share gains against AMD whose revenues declined 20% I believe he is referring to 1996, not now.

We note that IDC has forecast PC unit growth of 2% and we are forecasting Intel unit growth of 10%. I dunno, I guess he thinks the IDC forecast is too low, because later on he says: AMD also seems to be tracking slightly better than we thought.

So, it's just a confusing research note. What do you expect, this guy only makes around $500K in salary, right?

Albert, read it again s-l-o-w-l-y :)

He's talking about the last time around when INTC's revenue increased, 71% went to the GM line. That was when they gained share against AMD. Not this time.
